Out on the wooden terrace at night, between the white plastic chairs and the potted plants, I watch Tatty and Gaby start their mission: trample, squeeze, repeat. Sub Laura is their playground. One of them climbs up and rides high on her shoulders, arms raised, then they take turns stepping over her, pressing down with their full weight and squeezing her tight between them until the game gets almost too much. Laura wriggles and comes back for more every time. Nobody wants it to end. Trampling the classic Brazilian way, with two queens who never get enough.
