I come around the corner and stop. Tatty sits above in her white skirt, her soles black with dirt from walking around all day, and Grace kneels below with her curly hair falling over her face. One order: lick them clean. And she does, slowly, a tongue moving over every grimy sole and between every toe, eyes half closed. It is humiliating and intense, and Grace loves every lick, not stopping until those feet shine. The only thing that matters now is those dirty soles. I can almost taste it.
